Shifting Sands
This is a series of stretched clay sculptural forms that were inspired by receeding tides and changing light on the shores of Strangford Lough.

Construction
Stoneware Crank clay,textured with corrugated wire and plaster sprigs and rollers. The form is then thrown onto a plaster batt and thus stretched creating fluid textures. Blue barium glaze is applied and then rubbed off to highlight textures and the form is fired in a clay cradle to 1260 °C.
