Odeum Meander Vessels
This series of individual vessels was made in response to a trip to the uncovered archaeological site of Pompei, Italy. Wandering through the vast, sun bleached ruins and happening upon fragmented mosaics and richly painted frescos, amongst the volcanic aftermath was magical.

Construction
Hand built, heavily grogged with coloured clay fragments and kiln debris. Each stoneware clay vessel is individually made and unique. They are fired without glaze, in a horizontal position with various fragments of coloured glass positioned to melt and run during the firing to 1260 °C.

Approximate Dimensions
27cm x 12cm x 9cm
