Wheel thrown upside-down vessels inspired by man's plans to mine areas of natural reserve land in New Zealand. How man considers it his right to do so, that the earth's riches are there to be taken. Not agreeing or disagreeing, just pondering the rights and wrongs of it.
Construction
Wheel thrown upside-down vessels. Stoneware grogged clay with Porcelain slip and various dry glazes applied and fired to 1260 degrees. Underglaze pencil linear design, printed text and clear glaze applied.
